By the age of 8, along with his brother Júlio, Luiz took up some guitar classes. After being taking them for 4 years, he went on playing the guitar for more 4 years.

One day, for the first time, Luiz hold an eletric Slammer bass his father had just bought some weeks before and fond of the instrument.

After one year playing the bass with his brothers in his house hall, he noticed that a rock band had arisen from it. So Luiz took up some bass classes at Conservatório Souza Lima with professor Zuzo Moussauer and, one year later, with Ximba (Ricardo Uchiyama), both great and well-known bass players all over Brazil, always focusing on getting better and better.

Besides bass classes, he took up some singing classes with professor Lyba Serra. Luiz also enjoys practing sports, sleeping a lot and he intends to major in engineering.
