Bob first touched an eletric guitar by the age of 13. He had gone to some friends’ house and over there one of them was playing a song called Summer Song (Joe Satriani). He got impressed by the great sound that instrument could provide when played by gifted hands. He then decided to do that so.

He remembered his mother had an old acoutic guitar at home which nobody cared about, and as she was traveling he didn’t think that over: he “borrowed” the instrument. Following the instructions of a guitar magazine, he started practicing his first notes. A weekend later he was already able to play all the songs the magazine contained. The following month his mother bought him an eletric guitar.

Meanwhile he asked a friend of his from the church to teach him how to play the guitar and some months later he himself hired a teacher. The following year he also took up some harmony lessons. In December 2002 he decided he wanted to be a musician and his mother, doubtless the most important person in his life, agreed with the idea completely and enrolled him at IG&T (Instituto de Guitarra e Tecnologia) in 2003.

By the same year he founded a band at school with some friends to take part in a school festival. This event used to take place every year and it was a reference among many school festivals once more than 800 students used to watch the classified bands. From that time on he was best-known as Bob after he had amazingly performed a Solo during a show and his friends started shouting his nickname (the nickname was due to the fact he used to have a long and curly hair) and then the whole gym shouted in choir.

In 2004 he decided to quit IG&T because he believed group classes didn’t demand his maximum potential. By the end of that year he’d take a test to attend university, so he decided to take some private classes with two teachers from IG&T.

One of the teachers taught him classic guitar and the other the eletric one. By the end of the year he gave up the idea of becoming a musician and applied for publicity at the university. In the college, October 2006, he was invited by Júlio, who knew him from high shool, to join him at FERRORAMA. After some rehearsals and shows it was evident he fitted the band perfectly and the lyric compositions naturally showed up. By 2008 they concluded the recordings of their first album.
